DC retirement officials will enjoy streamlined processes and improved project oversight with the rollout of Microsoft Project Server 2010 by PROJILITY Inc., an information technology services provider specializing in enterprise project and portfolio management solutions. The case study is being highlighted by Microsoft Corporation as an example of the robust ability of its EPM solutions and the expertise of its partners.

The District of Columbia Retirement Board (DCRB) is an independent agency of the Washington, D.C., government that manages the assets of retirement funds for the district’s police officers, firefighters, and teachers. In late 2007, DCRB came up with a plan to update the agency’s processes by shifting from paper-based operations to electronic operations.

PROJILITY worked with DCRB to implement Project Server 2010 to assist in its annual budgeting process. DCRB anticipates using the system to strategically prioritize projects and encourage employees to access project information from different locations.
